Robertsdale High School is located in central Baldwin County, Alabama along the Gulf Coast. The Robertsdale High School Band has a long tradition of excellence and a rich history dating back to the program's inception in 1948. Instrumental performance opportunities for students at RHS include marching band, wind ensemble, concert band, jazz band, percussion ensemble, and chamber ensembles. Additional performing arts that operate under the band umbrella include the color guard and winter guard. Individuals in the band compete in local, regional, and state band auditions. All concert ensembles participate in the annual Alabama Music Performance Assessment, and the Wind Ensemble has consistently earned superior ratings at this event. Private instruction is strongly supported and encouraged. These lessons are a major focus of individual development for the students in the Robertsdale High School Band. Individual members are sought after by universities across the southeast for the quality of musicianship and leadership inherent to members of the Robertsdale Band Program. The ultimate vision for the program is to provide as many educational opportunities through musical skill and artistic excellence. Every decision made from the band office is in service to this skill development philosophy.
